Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information GoalGuide collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the GoalGuide website and app.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your email address, and a display name if you set one. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile details from Google.
• Content you create — goals, plans, tasks, notes, reminders, team and project data, knowledge-base entries, and reviews you write.
• Usage data — which features you use, task completions, and timestamps, so the app can show progress, streaks, and reports.
• Notification data — your timezone, reminder times, and (if you allow it) a push subscription for your browser or device.
• Payment data — purchase and subscription records. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

2. How we use it

• To create, store, and display your plans, tasks, and reports.
• To send the reminders and notifications you configure.
• To process payments, unlock paid features, and deliver purchased content.
• To operate creator payouts and calculate marketplace revenue.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and enforce usage limits.
• To improve the product using aggregated, non-identifying usage measurements.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to train AI models.

3. AI processing

When you generate a plan, optimization, report, SOP, or course draft, the text you provided (such as your goal description, constraints, and task titles) is sent to our AI provider to produce the result. We send only what is needed to generate the output. Do not enter information you would not want processed this way, including medical records or other highly sensitive details.

4. Service providers

We use a small number of processors to run the service:

• Hosting, database, authentication, and storage infrastructure.
• Stripe, for payments, subscriptions, and creator payouts.
• An AI provider, for generating plans and written summaries.
• An email provider, for account and transactional emails.
• A web push service, for delivering notifications you enabled.

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

5. Teams and marketplace visibility

If you join a team, other members of that team can see the team content, plans, projects, and tasks shared within it, along with your display name. If you publish a marketplace item or a review, your display name and that content are publicly visible.

6. Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Purchase and payment records are kept for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes. When you delete your account, your plans, tasks, reminders, and notifications are deleted with it; anonymized records of transactions may remain.

7. Your choices and rights

• Access, correct, or update your profile details in the app at any time.
• Turn reminders and push notifications off at any time.
• Cancel your subscription from billing settings.
• Request a copy of your data, or request deletion of your account and data, by emailingtyler@nightlayerapp.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, including the right to object to certain processing or to complain to a data protection authority.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with per-user access rules so that your content is only readable by you and by people you share it with. No system is perfectly secure; use a strong, unique password and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Children

GoalGuide is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes and contact
